General Accountant

NOT REMOTE - LOCATED IN MAYODAN NC

The General Accountant will be tasked with managing account entries, documents, payments and finances for the company. May supervise administrative and other accounting staff. Primary responsibility is handling and recording internal financial transactions as well as financial transaction with the company’s clients and affiliates.

POSITION DUTIES:

*Contributes to monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting closing activities

*Preparation of monthly financial reporting in GAAP and IFRS formats

*Reviews bank reconciliations and assist in maintaining cash flow

*Reviews account reconciliations and perform ledger account analysis

*Reviews and approve adjusting entries made by junior Finance/Accounting staff

*Supports continued compliance of Internal Controls and JSOX procedures and policies

*Works in compliance with any and all city, state and federal laws regarding accounting

*Continues education and training in order to maintain mastery of the field

*Prepares documentation for internal and external auditors

*Serves as a backup to the Finance Manager, supervising administrative and accounting team members as assigned

*Mentors and trains junior Finance/Accounting staff

*Contributes to daily accounting activities as assigned

*Maintains awareness of company activities

*Displays excellent time management and problem-solving skills

POSITION REQUIRMENTS:

*Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant

*Manufacturing accounting experience and/or CMA Certification is preferred

*Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Accounting/Finance field

*Proven track record of success

*Familiarity with corporate finance

*Strong mathematical and analytical skills

*Strong written and verbal communication skills

*Proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office systems

*Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

*Ability to read and analyze financial reports

*Strong understanding of US Accounting Regulations
