Leadership Greensboro Application - Class 2024

Leadership Greensboro is a unique, three-part development program that looks to education, volunteer leadership, and alumni engagement to guide the leadership skills of participants over the course of nine months. Our alumni report they are consistently more engaged in their communities and more invested in their workplaces after completing our program.

In its 47th year, Leadership Greensboro provides our city with an ongoing source of diverse leaders who are committed to serve as catalysts and sustainers of positive change for the quality of life for the greater Greensboro area. The nine-month leadership development program focuses on education, volunteer leadership, and alumni engagement. Each class participates in a three-day Center for Creative Leadership training and assessment component.

PROGRAM

An orientation, a two-day Leadership Retreat at the Center for Creative Leadership and additional leadership day, monthly all-day sessions, Class project presentation day, and a celebration graduation event make up the schedule for Leadership Greensboro. Each session is planned by a program committee working with a professional facilitator. Program goals are accomplished through a series of readings, interactive seminars, experiential assignments, creative dialogue among class members, and community resources. Class teams are assigned to develop a project which are aimed at addressing issues and needs in Greensboro and Guilford County.

PARTICIPANTS/SELECTION

Up to forty-five individuals will be selected to participate in the Class of 2024. Since the number of participants to Leadership Greensboro is limited, applicants who are not selected are encouraged to reapply in subsequent years. Participants will be chosen by the Leadership Greensboro Selection Committee based upon the information provided in the application, and consideration of criteria for the ideal candidate including:
